Who We Are
Transforming raw earth into living art.
At Alchemy Natural Building, we believe the spaces we inhabit should nourish us and the environment. I grew up in Sandpoint, ID, and after traveling in my early 20s, I landed back there working in carpentry. I have now been building houses for 10+ years.
I developed a passion for natural building many years ago and started working in the natural building world about 5 years ago. By utilizing locally sourced clay, sand, straw, and timber, we create structures that breathe, regulate their own climate, and leave a minimal carbon footprint.
My partner and I are now working on building our second home here in Spokane, WA in the beautiful community of Peaceful Valley. It is a fully naturally built home with straw bale walls, lime and clay plaster walls, and an earthen floor. This has been a family project that our young son has gotten to be a part of as well.
We are thrilled to offer eco-friendly, sustainably built, beautiful homes and finishes to our community in Spokane and North Idaho. It is an honor to bring deep expertise and artisanal craftsmanship to every project we undertake.
